A Twister of Talent

One instrumental rock guitarist has created a self-sustaining vortex of talent inside a power-filled and creative whirlwind. Arqum Iqbal is simply the "perfect storm" of talent with all the elements to cut a swath through the middle of rock music.

Arqum was born in Doncaster, England. By the age of fifteen, Arqum and his family had moved from England to USA, to settle in Wisconsin. His true love was music.

Steve Vai was just one many influences on Arqum as he developed as an instrumental guitarist. Arqum's own rebellious spirit drew him to other artists such as Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert and Marty Friedman within Arqum's work.

Arqum's debut album was titled Jam Session by no accident. He believes it should be all about the music. He loves to perform, and has been performing professionally for over five years now, as an unsigned independent artist.

Jam Session was followed by an EP release entitled Polished - an action-filled electric guitar feast with an additional acoustic single called "Trouble Maker."

Controlled Chaos is Arqum's latest release. Featuring twelve tracks of high-octane instrumental rock music, the new album is laden with energy and attitude. Arqum's first music video for the album was released in late 2010. The video for the single "Destroyer" gives imagery to his performance.

Arqum continues performing to support his albums and work on new material. He pushes himself to excel with each latest song. He is a twister of talent, creating wonder and awe with bridges, pickups flying through the air.
